Avelox

Avelox is a drug that is used to relieve the symptoms of infectious diseases. Moxifloxacin drugs are a form of antibiotic that falls into the category of medicines called quinolones. It helps to prevent bacteria from multiplying. Doctors prescribe this medication only to control bacterial diseases. It won't perform if you have a viral infection (such as flu, the common cold).

Avandia

In 1999,  the Food and Drug Administration licensed Avandia to control Type 2 diabetes in combination with healthy eating and exercise. It belongs to the glitazones or thiazolidinediones group of medicines.

The medication's primary ingredient, rosiglitazone maleate, is an "insulin stimulator." It enables Type 2 diabetics more insulin-responsive, allowing them to better control their sugar levels. The medicine does not affect the body's ability to produce more insulin.

Avelox side effects 

The common Avelox side effects  include:

  • headache

  • diarrhea

  • nausea

  • nervousness

  • dizziness

  • vomiting

  • nightmares

  • agitation

If the side effects are minimal, they can go away in a matter of days or weeks. Consult the doctor or pharmacist if they get more serious or don't go down.

The serious side effects of this drug include:

  1. Liver damage:

  • The skin turns yellow and eyes turn white

  • The upper right part of the abdomen feels painful

  • weakness

  1. Severe diarrhea

Symptoms:

  • Palpitations

  • Irregular heartbeat

  • fainting

  • dizziness

  1. Tendon rupture

Avandia side effects 

Common side effects include:

  • cough,

  • headache

  • back pain

  • cold symptoms 

Serious side effects include:

  • bone fracture 

  • pounding or fast heartbeat

  • yellowing of skin or eyes

  • dark urine

  •  menstrual cycles changes 

  • vision changes

  • abdominal or stomach pain

  • continuous vomiting or nausea

Warnings

Avelox

If you have or have ever had a heart, kidney, or lung surgery, renal failure, peripheral neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, epilepsy, seizures, stroke, cerebral arteriosclerosis, altered brain structure, myasthenia gravis, or kidney problems, tell your doctor. 

The doctor may advise you not to use moxifloxacin.

If you engage in daily vigorous activity or are taking oral or intravenous drugs, talk about it with your doctor. If you encounter any serious Avelox side effects, contact your doctor right away. Discuss the consequences of having moxifloxacin with your doctor.

Avandia

Due to the increasing number of Avandia lawsuits, the FDA made a safety announcement related to this medicine. It included the following warnings:

  • Some patients may be more prone to rosiglitazone's side effects and should avoid taking it. Informed your doctor about your medical background and all of the drugs, supplements, and vitamin products you're using.

  • Patients who are already taking Avandia should not quit using it without first asking a physician. 

  • If your medical professional suggests it, you can continue taking rosiglitazone-containing drugs, but you must be aware of the drug's benefits and risks.

  • Speak to a doctor whenever you have doubts regarding rosiglitazone-containing medications.

  • Evaluate the Medication Manual that comes with your rosiglitazone prescription.
